Oh Sang-bong is a senior research fellow and a director of the social policy research division at Korea Labor Institute. Before joining KLI in 2013, he was a research fellow of the climate change policy team at Korea Energy Economics Institute for one year. His main research area includes performance evaluation and system reform of the unemployment insurance, impact evaluation and mechanism reform of the minimum wage, policy reform surrounding the self-employed, and jus transition policy. He is a member of the steering committee for the employment insurance, member of the Seoul Committee on jobs, and a member of the sustainable development committee, and was a member of minimum wage committee. He studied business administration at Sogang University and received Ph.D in economics from Rutger University in 2012.
